House-keeper/Gardener. Court Robert. Tregare. Raglan.
20 hrs per week. £12,880 per year. (Could be job share)
Court Robert is an art venue, with a gallery and Sculpture Gardens open to the public. As well as the residence of Artist Alex Brown and Sculptor Christine Baxter.
The public spaces, gallery, gardens, and courtyard are to be kept clean, weeded, mowed as well as seasonal planting. So, experience as a gardener will be essential. There will also be cleaning and housework in the house. This role relies on self-motivation and planning your own time depending on the weather, time of year, and priority of the task. A budget for plants and other gardening equipment will be available and you will be expected to research and order necessary materials from this budget. There is a greenhouse and a small vegetable plot.
So general familiarity with the internet and administration would be useful.
In the winter months, if the weather is poor, indoor maintenance such as painting and spring cleaning will be prioritised.
Cleaning and housekeeping, which includes the washing of bedding, the making of beds, cleaning windows, washing up, ordering cleaning materials, purchasing and ordering for the freezer and pantry, tidying, taking care of indoor plants.
Your own car is essential, we are not near any public transport. We are two miles from Raglan Village.
Hours can be flexible but would prefer between 10 - 3 but 4 hours per day, Tuesday to Saturday. Some Saturdays can be swapped for Mondays by agreement.
